Renowned expedition cruise operator One Ocean Expeditions has teamed up with the Royal Canadian Geographic Society and launched a new and very comfortable ship, the RCGS Resolute, a purpose built polar expedition vessel.
It will see service in Antarctica and on a host of exciting new itineraries in Latin America, Europe and Canada.
Designed for comfort
Designed for comfort, RCGS Resolute is well appointed with two separate bar and lounge areas featuring 180 degree views. A wonderfully stocked library provides an ideal place to relax or catch up on some reading. Two dining rooms have ample open seating and large picture windows with 180 degree views. Other facilities include a theatre style presentation room, gift-shop, gymnasium, wellness centre, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and salt water pool. Take a tour of the ship.
New itineraries in Latin America
RCGS Resolute will serve its first season in the Antarctic. Then, in March of 2019, the ship will travel north on expedition cruises through the Chilean Fjords, a trip along the west coast of Costa Rica and through the Panama Canal, followed by a cruise from Panama to Mexico along the eastern coast of Central America. As it typical for One Ocean, each journey will stop in at a multitude of hard-to-reach places and there will be lots of activities and adventures on offer.
New itineraries in Europe & Canada
After crossing the Atlantic, RCGS Resolute will arrive in Ireland at the start of June for a Scotland & Ireland Golf Expedition followed by a discovery of the North Atlantic - Scotland, Faroe Islands & Iceland: Footsteps of Vikings and Gaels. Another golf expedition will take place at the start of the Arctic season, Canada's East Coast Golf Expedition: Fiddles & Sticks after which the ship will join in for One Ocean's very successful programme through the Maritimes, up the Labrador Coast and into the NW Passage.
