Starting the in the capital Amman we travel to the ancient ruins at Jerash, from where we ride through olive groves and villages to Madaba. After admiring the Byzantine mosaics we ride up Mt Nebo before enjoying a fantastic freewheeling ride down to the Dead Sea. A transfer vehicle takes us to Petra which we will explore on foot before cycling to Little Petra and on through traditional Bedouin territory to Aqaba on the Red Sea. A highlight for many will be the ride into Wadi Rum where the red-sand rocks make for some of the most spectacular desert scenery anywhere on earth. Enjoy a night in a camp (and perhaps sleep out under the stars) and a jeep safari before returning to Amman.
