This nine-day journey through Peru blends culture, history and wildlife in a way that’s perfect for families. After arriving in Lima, there's time to get your bearings before flying east to the Amazon. In the jungle near Puerto Maldonado, you’ll stay in a rustic eco-lodge, glide along rivers in search of caimans, and walk through rainforest trails to spot monkeys, birds and otters. There's also a chance to learn traditional archery and explore a medicinal garden guided by a local shaman.

Next, the adventure shifts to Cusco, where you’ll acclimatize and dive into Peruvian culture with music lessons, panpipe making and a guided walk through the artisans' quarter of San Blas. The Sacred Valley offers a window into Andean life, with visits to weaving communities, salt ponds, ancient terraces and opportunities to meet llamas and alpacas. From Ollantaytambo, take the scenic train to Machu Picchu and explore this incredible site with a guide.

Return to Cusco for a final day to relax, reflect or wander the cobbled streets. With archaeology, wildlife, hands-on experiences and time to connect with local people, this trip offers a rich and well-paced experience for all ages.
