Based in Aviemore, walk the best trails of Cairngorms National Park, the United Kingdom's largest, exploring wild mountain sub-Arctic tundra landscapes, deep valleys and beaufitul lochs, with a local as your guide.
We'll dive right into our trip with an afternoon's walk along the deep blue waters of Loch an Eilein with the ruins of a 14th century castle atop a small island.
Next, walk one of the best sections of the Speyside Way Trail to the classic quaint village of Nethy Bridge.
A three-hour hike will take us through birchwood forests and past small lakes up Craigellachie for spectacular views across the Cairngorms.
Some leisure time is called for too as you try your hand at canoeing or stand up paddle boarding on Loch Morlich, before tackling the full-day ‘Peak to Pub’ hike. Keep an eye out for reindeer as you hike up Creag a Chalamain. Descent via an old drover’s trail through beautiful Rothiemurchus Forest to the pub at Aviemore on the River Spey. It seems a wee dram from Speyside Distillery is well deserved at the end of this trip!
